Multivitamin–Cisplatin Encapsulated Chitosan Nanoparticles Modulate DDX3X Expression in Cancer Cell Lines

چکیده
Vitamin supplementation during chemotherapy has often been associated with lower recurrence and mortality rates in cancer patients. We had previously demonstrated that the multivitamin (C, D3, B12)–cisplatin nanoparticle complex—NanoCisVital (NCV)—could alleviate chemotherapy-induced fatigue. Chitosan is frequently used functional nanomaterials to encapsulate drugs, because it biodegradable, biocompatible, non-toxic. The chitosan-based NCVs were prepared, their physicochemical properties, size, stability evaluated before assessing effect on cell lines. mixture packed core, cisplatin loaded at periphery of nanoparticle. This encapsulation facilitates slow sequential release peripheral core combination. By increasing amounts vitamin drug-encapsulated nanoparticles breast cervical lines, viable percentage was calculated. DDX3X promotes proliferation, invasion, metastasis, while Ki-67 active proliferation all types. elevated several types, cells express abnormally. protein a biomarker present throughout stages cycle but undetectable resting state. expression DDX3X Ki-67 genes altered NCV-treated cells. study uses gene as comparative measuring tool for anti-cancer effects vitamins, respectively.

Anticancer properties of chitosan against osteosarcoma, breast cancer and cervical cancer cell lines
Background: Cancer refers to the abnormal growth of cells and is still the most common cause of morbidity in world. The purpose of this study was to determine cytotoxicity effect of high molecular weight (HMWC) and low molecular weight of chitosan (LMWC) on three cancerous cell lines MCF-7, HeLa and Saos-2 with different histological origin. Methods: The anticancer property of two types of chi...
متن کاملExpression of Some Genes Involved in Epigenetic in Breast Cancer Cell Lines: The Effect of Quercetin
Background & Objectives: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. Incorrect pattern of gene expression involved in epigenetic including APOBEC3B, DNMT-1, and TET-1 can develop breast cancer. Quercetin is a natural flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties that have been reported in other studies. To investigate the effect mechanism of quercetin, this study examin...
متن کاملFormulation, characterization, and expression of a recombinant MOMP Chlamydia trachomatis DNA vaccine encapsulated in chitosan nanoparticles
Chlamydia trachomatis is a bacterial sexually transmitted infection affecting millions of people worldwide. Previous vaccination attempts have employed the recombinant major outer membrane protein (MOMP) of C. trachomatis nonetheless, with limited success, perhaps, due to stability, degradation, and delivery issues. In this study we cloned C. trachomatis recombinant MOMP DNA (DMOMP) and encapsu...
متن کاملEGFR-targeted photodynamic therapy by curcumin-encapsulated chitosan/TPP nanoparticles
Background Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an effective therapy for cancers and is a minimally invasive therapy with low dark toxicity and limited side effects. PDT employs the combination of photosensitizers with a specific light source to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) to damage tumor cells. Methods We fabricated nanoparticles encapsulating curcumin through crosslinking chitosan and tr...
متن کاملThe Expression of Heme Oxygenase-1 in Human-Derived Cancer Cell Lines
Background: Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is a cytoprotective and antiapoptotic enzyme, which has been involved in maintaining cellular homeostasis, and plays an important protective role by modulating oxidative injury. Up-regulation of (HO-1) has contributed to tumorogenicity of some cancers. In this study we investigated the expression pattern of the HO-1, in five different human-derived cancer cel...
